We get the question a lot: What’s so different about a women’s board?
Truth be told, we don’t have special technologies or shrinky-dink innovations that are reserved for the ladies. And we mostly follow the traditional ingredients that make up any co-ed snowboard out there. But we add our own twist through subtle details that make a big impact on a female rider’s strength, power and center of gravity.
Some of our technologies include:
BUHMPER Inside Edges
A high-density sidewall material eliminates traditional splitboard steel inside edges. The dense plastic increases damping and reduces chatter and weight, creating a much more fluid ride on the downhill while maintaining edge grip on the uphill.
All boards start with a snappy, lightweight aspen core. Minimal tip fill reduces the swing weight so you can whip, turn and spin your board faster. Strategic carbon support is layered throughout to ensure torsional stiffness in critical areas under foot, especially helpful in sloppy snow. The end result is a women’s snowboard that’s light and maneuverable without compromising strength or power.
Good luck slapping a sticker on a Pallas board. We’ve chosen a textured topsheet material because of it’s ability to shed snow, resulting in less unwanted weight on your board—and helping you conserve your energy while touring.
Donation with Every Board Purchase
Ten dollars of every Pallas snowboard and splitboard are donated to one of three non-profit organizations we’re proud to support: Utah Avalanche Center, SheJumps and Live Like Liz. It might not make an impact on the board under your feet, but it makes an impact throughout your community.
